There may be extra training in preparation for competitions during third term for competing teams. The venue is dependent upon availability. There may also be the odd holiday training and all teams will be allocated a stage practice session before competitions.
This is when the club re-groups after competitions and class times are reduced, with the exception of Tinies, classes (remains unchanged) and Seniors (no training in fourth term). If applicable, students move on to the next age group in preparation for the next Calisthenics year.
Students are required to wear a black leotard. In cooler weather students are encouraged to also wear black long sleeved ballet wrap tops and flesh coloured footless leggings or tights, as the students are not permitted to work in tracksuits or jumpers. Hair must always be neatly tied back in a bun. Fringes must be securely pinned back. No jewellery to be worn at class. Always bring a water bottle to class.
Each student is required to own a leotard, aluminium rod, wooden clubs and aesthetic practice skirt. Rods, clubs and aesthetic practice skirts are available for purchase from the club.
